Discover The Cadillac At Epiphany Pilates
You may have noticed a big, new addition in our studio - the Pilates Cadillac. This piece of equipment is a wonderful way to explore the depths of the Pilates repertoire while strengthening and stretching your body.
The Pilates Cadillac was originally designed by Joseph Pilates to provide bed-ridden patients with an opportunity to exercise. Today, while the Cadillac still remains a tremendous tool for rehabilitation, it also offers something for everyone...from beginners to advanced practitioners.
The Pilates Cadillac can be used to isolate almost every muscle group and to break down exercises into small pieces. For example, those who struggle with the Roll Up on the mat can more easily tap into the full core activation and spinal articulation required for the movement by performing the Roll Up on the Pilates Cadillac. On the other hand, this piece of equipment can also be used to perform more challenging exercises by adding resistance and instability. In fact, Hip Work on the Pilates Cadillac really targets the hamstrings and the Hanging Series challenges core strength to the max.
